Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (Aesthetic Focus) - Cleveland Clinic Foundation
Cleveland, OH
About the Job
We are excited to announce a search for a full-time staff member in the Section of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the Cleveland Clinic Department of Head and Neck Surgery, with a focus on facial cosmetic surgery. This is a new position.
Our section currently includes five full-time academic facial plastic surgeons and an accredited fellowship through the AAFPRS and Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. We have a busy service performing the full gamut of the subspecialty, including both reconstructive and aesthetic procedures. At Main Campus we focus primarily on advanced free tissue transfer, facial reanimation and complex facial reconstruction. Due to constant innovation and pioneering surgical techniques, our expertise draws patients from regional, national and international locations. Our facial plastic surgeons also practice in the region, where they perform a broad range of elective procedures within our network of regional clinics and ambulatory surgery centers.
Over the past two years, we have concentrated our focus in the region on the creation of two dedicated Centers of Excellence in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. The first is on the West side of Cleveland at Richard E. Jacobs Hospital, a state-of-the-art inpatient facility and outpatient center built in 2017. Our newest effort is the recent opening of a multidisciplinary aesthetics complex in a premier east side Cleveland location. This new position offers a leadership opportunity to expand our cosmetic focus and reach in this region.
We are seeking a dynamic individual who will be fully supported in the development of an aesthetic practice. We envision at least fifty percent of this position dedicated to cosmetics, and individual time will be protected to allow for focus on development of this practice. Opportunities to engage in Mohs reconstruction, microtia, gender affirmation surgery, microvascular reconstruction and facial reanimation are available, with full support for research interests.
