- The candidate will be an employee of the Fiber Plant Facilities Department. The person shall provide technical support in the area of Facilities support equipment
- Provide support in the manufacturing of optical fiber with a focus on facilities management.
- Compliant with all requirements in 40 CFR 261-265 concerning hazardous wastes including but not limited to labeling, storage and transportation of hazardous wastes from production areas to Waste Storage Pad.
- Work with the technical staff to resolve daily issues.
- Support the commissioning of new equipment for production.
- Ensure all product meets requirements as defined by the Plant’s Quality Management Systems.
- Comply with all applicable safety procedures and ISO14001 EMS guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or a member of management.
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering experience
- Minimum three years experience
- Must complete OJT for specific job classification, as required, promptly
- Experience in fiber optic manufacturing is a plus.
- Experience with Chiller maintenance and optimization.
- Experience with pollution control equipment (Baghouse, Scrubber, etc…).
- Experience with Compressor maintenance and optimization.
- Experience with high-purity piping and gas delivery systems.
- Experience with fire detection equipment.
- Experience with power distribution systems and UPS systems.
- Strong data analysis skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of Basic Statistical Tools
- Detail and quality-orientated
- Motivated Team Player
- Ability to work with little supervision
