Description:
The facilities engineer plays an essential role in maintaining the safety, comfort, and functionality of the facility. This position works closely with management and leads the maintenance staff to ensure the facility is well designed, well built and well maintained. The position will also lead implementation of new capabilities. Examples include hydrogen filling and test cell fueling, natural gas fueling infrastructure, microgrid power generation and engine test cell enhancement.

Division Information
The PACCAR Technical Center provides engineering excellence to the truck, engine, and winch divisions of PACCAR Inc through innovative product development and testing. The Technical Center is located in the Skagit Valley about 65 miles north of Seattle, Washington.
Responsibilities:
Leading the design, installation and maintenance of critical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, hydraulic and fueling infrastructure.
Working with architects and contractors to ensure that new buildings and renovations are designed to meet the needs of the facility.
Implementing PM programs
Emergency response to power outages and plumbing leaks to minimize damage to the facility
Manage the facility expense budget
Manage the capital budget process for acquisition of new buildings and equipment
Ensure maintenance staff is trained on building and test system maintenance and repair
Keep one-line electrical diagrams updated
Maintain facility layouts
Manage maintenance, environmental engineering and shipping/receiving departments
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
5+ years of experience in facilities management or a related field
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
Experience in project management, including budgeting and scheduling
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient with ACAD and Visio, and Microsoft Office Suite applications
Familiarity with local and federal regulations related to facilities management
Experience with energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives is a plus
