RESPONSIBILITIES
Facilities Engineer Responsibilities:
- Lead engineering activities, teams and projects for the Facilities infrastructure operations team that includes working cross-functionally with design teams, construction, operations, vendors and lab engineers
- Support operation of facilities systems supporting cleanroom and high tech labs that involve hydronic systems, bulk and specialty gas distribution, liquid (acid/caustic) and air abatement (Solvent, Corrosive, etc) processes and systems and specialty HVAC
- Ensure integration and support to all cross functional business partners, including business owners, construction project services, space planning, IT, and lab operators
- Evaluate tooling and technology used to support the facilities engineering team including BMS, CMMS, and other engineering tools
- Monitor, trend, and develop engineering metrics and statistical data for strategic planning
- Develop comprehensive project plans and inform frequently on progress, risks, and schedule
- Participate in vendor, supplier, and contractor management
- Manage the commissioning process at a high level, ensure that upon completion of new builds that turnover is adequate and process is thorough
- Identify and drive process and quality improvements across the team
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS in Mechanical or Chemical engineering
- 8+ years’ experience in design, operations and maintenance, experience working in cleanroom and lab environments
- Knowledge of Cleanroom HVAC systems, and Building Management Systems and other specialized systems such as RO/DI Water, Process Exhaust, Specialty gas and bulk gas systems, chillers, boilers, cooling towers, cooling water, water and air abatement and compressed air and vacuum systems
- Knowledge of substations, power distribution and generator power systems
- Communication, presentation, project management, and reporting experience
- Experience working in a team environment and lead regional and global initiatives
- Demonstrated experience to provide customer service
- Experience to analyze financial and operational results and develop process controls
- Knowledge of industry standards, building codes and safety standards
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration
- MS in Mechanical or Chemical engineering
- Knowledge of substations, power distribution and generator power systems
