About the Job
Celerity designs, builds, services and maintains fiber optics and wireless infrastructure. We are currently looking for a FT Facilities Associate to work in our warehouse and assist with the activities of Inventory, Shipping & Receiving, Fleet and Facilities as well as assist field operations when needed.
Summary/Objective
The Facilities Associate is a cross functional position, supporting multiple departments and stakeholders. This position is primarily designed to support the activities of Inventory, Shipping & Receiving, Fleet and Facilities as well as supplement field operations when circumstances warrant. This role requires multiple assignments and shifting priorities as required by departmental needs.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists with Inventory of material, equipment and tools.
- Perform shipping & receiving duties.
- Assist with loading and unloading of equipment and trucks.
- Assist with quarterly counts, staging and returning materials for jobs and assist in the assigning of tags/labels for all housed merchandise.
- Assists Fleet and Facilities Coordinator as needed. This may include but not be limited to: staging and returning equipment for jobs, maintenance and repair of equipment, light building maintenance, escorting and assisting subcontractors working on facilities, and transporting vehicles for service.
- Identifying, recording, and reporting damaged, lost, and stolen goods.
- Supporting and supplementing field technicians on projects as required
- Actively participating and promoting health and safety practices.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- Three or more years of construction or mechanical experience preferred, or equivalent experience in supply chain, operations, inventory management, facility maintenance or similar discipline
- Must possess a good mechanical aptitude
- Computer literacy and MS Office experience
- PA Driver's license required with CDL Medical certification
- CDL-A preferred but not required
- Forklift operation experience a plus
- Experience loading and unloading trucks, trailers, material and equipment.
- Experience with OSHA Compliance is a plus.
- Highly organized and able to maintain a fast-paced schedule.
- Proven teamwork experience across multiple departments.
- Must possess good communication skills
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 7AM to 3:30 PM. These hours are subject to business needs and coverage for assigned duties. This position may occasionally require additional off hours or weekend work. Hours need to be flexible based on business needs.
Travel <10%
This position is expected to involve minimal travel.
Physical and Other Requirements:
This position requires walking throughout the facility/property. Both warehouse and maintenance work are necessary, as well as loading and unloading equipment and driving company vehicles. This position requires the ability to lift items to and from shelves and manipulate portable stairs as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift products and supplies up to 50 pounds.
