Summary Plan and direct service, security and safety functions for LaGrange facility by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.
- Coordinate repairs and renovations with contractors and vendors.
- Monitor building systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Manage energy consumption and implement energy-saving measures.
- Oversee janitorial services and ensure a clean and sanitary work environment.
- Oversee facility improvement projects, including renovations, expansions, and upgrades.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors.
- Source, manage, and evaluate vendors for housekeeping, interior and exterior maintenance and improvement, repairs, snow and landscape services, and other services as needed.
- Develop and manage the facility maintenance budget.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and contractors.
- Plan and recommend safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations including OSHA, EPA and building codes.
- Inspect organization facilities to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards, determine corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follow up to ensure measures have been implemented.
- Maintain SDS sheets and advise associates on proper handling of materials.
- Manage security systems and protocols including disbursement of keys and entry device cards and updating emergency contact list.
- Maintain company safety policies and procedures.
- This position may require occasional evening or weekend work to address emergencies or oversee maintenance activities.
- Directly supervises 1 to 3 associates in the Facilities Department.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university
- Seven to Ten years related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Proficient working with SAP, Microsoft 365 and Outlook
- Strong problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on process improvement
- Hands-on experience
