Knowledge and Skills
- Practical knowledge of PLC logic, vision inspection systems and motor controls.
- Must be able to read and understand procedures, electrical schematics, blueprints, and sketches.
- Solid computer skills (MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)). CMMS experience required.
- Excellent verbal/written communication and customer service skills.
- Highly disciplined, problem-solver, logical thinking, troubleshooting team player with a strong work ethic.
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently.
- Demonstrate ability to manipulate various hand and power tools safely and competently.
- Strong mechanical aptitude needed.
Responsibilities:
- The Maintenance Technician supports the plant needs regarding all production equipment, plant support equipment and building systems to achieve the production plan and improve process performance and preventive maintenance.
- Support and actively manage troubleshooting and preventive maintenance program to maximize equipment availability, minimize downtime hours, and optimize production.
- Duties are performed in a high-volume high-speed manufacturing environment where individuals are involved with overhauling equipment and the installation of new equipment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform machine and systems troubleshooting and repair, assist engineering and plant staff with the installation and modification of integrated systems. Provide technical support where needed.
- Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule to ensure equipment remains in peak operating condition. Perform corrective maintenance as required.
- Support PLC, vision, and motor software systems diagnostics.
- Install and modify integrated systems to improve upon current equipment performance.
- Interface with other departments to provide and obtain information necessary to complete assigned equipment maintenance, changeover, testing and return to operation.
- Maintain records to document testing and operation of equipment in a CMMS. Maintain assigned equipment and work areas in a safe, clean, and orderly fashion.
