About the Job
Summary: Under the direction of the Manufacturing/Facility Engineer, the Maintenance Technician performs general facility maintenance and repairs/maintains both manufacturing and R&D equipment. This is a jack-of-all-trades position and may include, but is not limited to, electrical, piping, plumbing, welding and instrumentation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsible for general maintenance of all facilities, manufacturing equipment, and R&D equipment used on property.

Maintain facilities in good working order, including HVAC and lighting. Coordinate activities of outsourced maintenance services where needed.

Painting, electrical work, light bulb replacement, carpentry, and other projects relating to maintenance of the interior property and external storage facilities.

Routine preventative maintenance of equipment in both manufacturing and R&D.

Calibration of Instruments and documentation of all calibrations within the Quality Management System

Follow safe work practices for self and remain current with OSHA standards for maintenance activities. Assist in
the development and implementation of Safe Maintenance Practices.

Assist in the development and maintenance of LOTO procedures for all existing equipment and equipment addition.

Reviewing of blueprints, building permits, and diagrams for constructional repairs.

Competencies: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

Thorough knowledge of single and three phase motors electrical systems

Ability to read both mechanical and electrical drawings.

Knowledge of pump, fan, and compressor mechanics, sufficient to troubleshoot and repair.

Ability to troubleshoot instrumentation and PLC logic.

Ability to read, write, and comprehend written instructions in English.

Education and/or Experience: High School education or equivalent GED is required. 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment or mechanical position preferred.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer competencies (directory, network navigation and web browsing) and ability to utilize Excel. Higher job levels require more advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and other specialized maintenance/quality software
