About the Job
Under direct supervision, is responsible for routine repairs and maintenance of building equipment, machinery, and facility grounds of assigned County facilities, to include detention facilities; and performs other duties as required.
The position of Facilities Maintenance Technician I is the first position of the Bexar County Facilities Maintenance Technician family of jobs. The family of jobs is organized in a career path that extends from Facilities Maintenance Technician I (NE-04) to Facilities Maintenance Technician IV (NE-10). Advancement through the career path is contingent upon achieving increasing levels of skill, experience, education, certification and performance.
