Position Summary - Maintenance Technician:
The Maintenance Technician will be part of the Westbrook-based Maintenance team that works to maintain a standard of facility performance that will meet the needs of Woodfords Family Services' staff, our consumers and their families, and our community partners. The Maintenance team provides facility maintenance for Woodfords Family Services' buildings and properties from Kennebunk to Waterville.
- This position regularly visits and attends to maintenance needs at residential facilities for adult individuals with intellectual and development disabilities. The of Maine is requiring individuals working in these facilities to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by October 1, 2021.
- Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination, or evidence of vaccination in-process required for hire in this role.
Schedule:
- This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position with potential for overtime.
- The Maintenance Technician may be required to work occasional nights and/or weekends during agency events or as urgent needs occur.

Requirements of the Maintenance Technician include:
- High school diploma/GED required
- A minimum of one (1) year of facility maintenance
- Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including snow blowers, lawn mowers, and small hand tools necessary to complete duties of the position.
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Able to work well with minimal supervision
- Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures
- Must have a valid driver's license, current auto insurance and use of a reliable vehicle daily
Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician include:
- Utilize computer skills to document time and a work order system to support the completion of all requests
- Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs as necessary for all sites, independently and/or as directed by the Maintenance Manager
- Perform all inspections on building and safety equipment based on the recommendations of manufacturers, safety committee, management and/or licensing/regulatory agencies
- Perform building upgrades to decks, interior painting, flooring, doors and windows as scheduled by the Maintenance Manager
- Schedule and perform lawn maintenance as required by all sites
- Perform snow removal and sanding of driveways and walkways to ensure the safe passage during winter months
- Inspect vehicle fleet periodically to insure that they are safe for use, all inspections and registrations are current, and coordinate vehicle maintenance and repair
- Respond to emergency calls by building security, fire department, and police.
- Set up of the training Rooms for scheduled meetings as needed
- Support agency fundraisers and other events
