Description:Grady Hospital is seeking an experienced Facilities Planning Coordinator. This position will act as interim support for transition of Asst. Dir and new Facilities Manager on Grady campus and serve vital role in the Campus initiative on space planning. Our ideal candidate will be able to increase coordination between Emory and Grady facilities planning representatives and has experience in coordinating meetings, gathering documentation and working on next step action plans. JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Plans, directs and coordinates facilities operations for the department.
- Ensures that all facilities (buildings, supplies and equipment) for teaching and research are available and safe.
- Assists in the preparation of the department's facilities budget.
- Performs related responsibilities as required.
ADDITIONAL RESPOSIBILITIES:
- Work with administrative leadership on assessment/validation of space and inventory
- Track and update the Grady Space Request Form and follow up, where necessary
- Submit service Work Orders (WOs) and follow up on action completion
- Assist Manager with room setups and moving furniture in partnership with campus staging and maintenance
- Assist Manager with vendor quotes
- Coordinate required safety/security drills and follow up action planning
- Coordinate required training sessions/series with internal and external vendors
- Partner with campus services and other contracted services to monitor and close outstanding issues
- Partner with Grady campus maintenance team to ensure the completion of open work orders
- Train and provide backup to the Grady campus mailroom
- Coordinate/facilitate the weekly facilities leadership meeting and ensure capture and
- distribution of action items
- Maintain Grady campus facilities project plan
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor's degree and one year of experience in construction, engineering, architecture and/or coordinating large projects or events, or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training.
NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in person at an Emory University
location. Remote work-from-home day options may be granted at department's discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to the employee.
