Job Summary
The Facilities Program Manager is responsible for all facility related matters involving Space Planning, Moves Adds and Changes (MAC’s), Design of and Project Management of all renovation projects, space allocation. The Facilities Program Manager provides strategic planning and direction that ensures the continual review of building plans and employee headcounts to provide direction and improvements to all building. Evaluates and adjusts/alters architectural plans to accommodate company growth. Hands-on involvement with projects; seeing the job through planning to completion while utilizing a strong sense of ownership and pride in the result. Supervises architects, engineers, and contractors for facilities renovation projects involving all building related arrangements, production floor and laboratory arrangement, etc.
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for the evaluation of buildings ensuring compliance to all building codes, rules, and regulations.
- Proactively anticipates and gathers customer needs including senior leadership and effectively communicates and/or presents to all levels within the organization (as appropriate) the status of space utilization, projects, issues, and proposals.
- Lead the company’s long range real estate and space forecasts.
- Contribute to the development of strategic Facility Master Plans to facilitate capital planning requirements.
- Own and update Facilities plans, maps, and associated drawings.
- Create 3D modeling of all facilities floor plans
- Coordinates space planning and architecture with engineering firms.
- Facilitates work with outside contractors and vendors by soliciting and negotiating bids, negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts, and obtain permits, and licenses.
- Positive representative of the company with key city and state council members, as well service providers, neighboring businesses, and residents.
- Oversees outside contractors during construction or repair of facilities.
- Assists Facilities Manager in the creation of budgets, create and manage Operating and Capital budgets.

Knowledge & Experience for the position:
- Master’s degree in architecture with 10 years of experience in the field preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of all building codes, rules and regulations.
- Experience with construction work preferred.
Skills & Capabilities:
- Demonstrated ability to direct and supervise contracted vendors as well as operations staff.
- Familiarity with OSHA guidelines, FDA requirements, and working knowledge of Building Codes.
- Proficient computer skills to include CAD, REVIT, Microsoft applications. (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills (verbal and written).
- Knowledge of life safety systems.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong financial and budgeting skills.
- Proven project management skills.
- Must be able to multitask.
Travel Requirements:
- Some travel required (<10%)
