Facilities Project Manager
The University at Albany is seeking to fill a Facilities Project Manager that is specifically trained and educated in the design and construction of building mechanical systems. The Facilities Project Manager is responsible for managing capital construction improvement projects directly warrant and require a Mechanical Engineering degree and years of experience in the design and functionality of heating, ventilating, and air conditions systems (HVAC) for the campuses academic, dormitory, and recreational spacers.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from a college or University accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.
- A minimum of five (5) years relevant experience in the design of heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems (HVAC systems) for buildings.
- Working knowledge of applicable codes, laws, rules and standards regulating design and construction.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Fundamental understanding of construction and construction management practices and procedures.
- Ability to understand construction contract documents.
- Strong technology skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineering (PE) license
- SUNY Experience
- Experience working with SUCF and/or DASNY
- NYS Building Safety Inspector or Code Enforcement Officer
