Jefferson Healthcare has an opening for a full-time Facilities Specialist. This role will assist in the performance necessary to keep the physical structureand associated equipment of the Hospital in good repair. Minor electrical and carpentry work, mechanical repairs, deliveries, expediting materials, and other duties relating to maintenance. Other primary duties include:
- Assists in replacing, installing, repairing and testing electrical circuits, equipment, appliances and lighting systems as required
- Performs preventive maintenance duties on all physical structures of the Hospital and complies with all building safety codes. This includes facility equipment and associated controls.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase the efficiency of the work crew
- Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists in solving work problems
- Maintains a working knowledge of fire alarm and signal systems
- Reads blueprints, interprets instructions, and prepares specifications
- Maintains all electrical outlets in pediatric patient care areas to ensure they all have covers
- Performs manual duties as requested (i.e., moving supplies or furniture, replacing light bulbs, removing trash or scrap material)
- Maintains routine records of all inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs performed on any equipment or system

What you'll need:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Two years of college or technical trade school preferred
- Plumbing and/or Boiler Operators License and/or Refrigeration and/or HVAC system or Journeyman level Carpenter preferred
- Maintains regulatory requirements, including all state, and federal regulations. Maintains required credentials (CPR)
Schedule: 1.0 FTE; 40 hours/week; Variable days and shifts.
