We are looking for a highly motivated Facilities Technician to join our Team. This is a full time onsite position with no option to remote work.
Full Job Description
The Facilities Maintenance III will perform skilled work in the maintenance, construction, inspection and repair of buildings and equipment; perform maintenance tasks in the electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry and roofing trades in conjunction with the Facilities Manager as needed; troubleshoot and repair problems with buildings and equipment and effect repairs; maintain supply inventories; enter and complete records of repairs and equipment maintenance. The role uses fundamental knowledge of OSHA regulations; uniform building codes; standard practices, materials and processes of the electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting trades; hazard communication laws, methods and regulations. The Maintenance Facilities Technician III works with limited supervision and exercises good judgement. The role will interact with a manager several times per week, perhaps daily, to receive guidance and feedback. Many non-routine activities require advance approval. Able to work from schematics and equipment guides to perform tasks and/or repairs as required. Communicates respectfully with internal clients and co-workers. Additional related duties and special projects as assigned.
Major Tasks, Accountabilities and Key Responsibilities:
- Inspecting building, equipment, and systems to identify any issues.
- Repairing faulty or down equipment as necessary.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment and maintain computer system records.
- Planning and scheduling repairs on equipment.
- Maintaining the inventory records for equipment and supplies.
- Performing general building maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry.
- Supports and offers training of other technicians.
- Supports safety team with a safety first mindset.
Qualifications/Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Knowledge of 120v – 480v required.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Advanced understanding of building maintenance procedures.
- Effective problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, ability to read and understand equipment guides.
- Must be well-organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Must be a self-starter and work well with minimum supervision.
- Experience using an Aerial Lift, or willing to be certified.
- Printing press experience is a plus.
- Foam cutting machine experience is a plus.
- Industrial paint booth experience is a plus.
While performing the duties of this job, the work is performed partially in an office setting, some work is performed on the production floor and outside in weather conditions. The employee works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate and occasionally loud when using tools.

The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms throughout the 8-10-hour shift. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and smell. Hand-eye coordination is necessary to operate tools, drafting instruments, computers and various pieces of office equipment. Perform physical labor that may include standing and maneuvering for periods of time; work occasionally in outside environment subject to inclement weather conditions, possible and/or frequent exposure to sun, humidity, and high or low temperatures; work inside around loud machinery, noise and/or pronounced vibration; exposure to dust and allergens; reach, grasp, pull, push, and carry various equipment and objects across various types of surfaces; frequent maneuvering, stooping, crouching, bending at waist and knees; twist, crawl and work in confined and cramped spaces (such as attics, crawl spaces, etc.); twist body up to 45 degree angle; frequent stretching, reaching and kneeling while operating tools and equipment; using proper bending and lifting techniques, lift and/or carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) with (or without) assistance (from floor level to above shoulder level); climb and descend on various ladders and/or stairs (with semi-heavy objects with or without assistance); work on wet, slippery surfaces; wear personal protective and safety equipment when appropriate; operate and manipulate hand, electric and all types of structural tools and equipment; occasional exposure to sharp blades from tools and equipment.

Schedule:
- Full Time, two locations, Tempe, and Chandler.
- Day shift
- Typically, Monday to Thursday (6:00am – 3:30pm)
- Friday (6:00am - 10:00am)
- Day shift hours - Flexible start / end times.
- Off on Saturday’s & Sunday’s, most of the time.
Compensation:
- $60k -$65k, DOE
