About the Job
PrideStaff is seeking an Assistant Facilities Technician in Vista, Ca. This is a part time position 15-20 hours per week.
FLEXIBLE HOURS!! Anytime from 8am to 5pm
Summary of Assistant Facilities Technician:
- Reporting to the current Sr. Facilities Technician
- read and interpret a variety of documents and instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- analyze and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- establish priorities and works on multiple assignments and projects concurrently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Assistant Facilities Tech:
Performs day-to-day facilities preventative maintenance and repairs for the office, clean room and electronics lab areas in a timely manner.
Makes daily walk-through inspections of the premises to determine repair work necessary and identify safety hazards within the building.
Managing personal work time, takes ownership of the company’s building maintenance.
Other duties as assigned by Facilities management.
Knowledge, Skill and Competency Requirements for Assistant Facilities Tech:
Technical Skills - Maintains current understanding of facilities equipment and uses technology to increase performance/productivity output.
Tool Knowledge – Basic hand tool knowledge and use of is required. Specialty tool knowledge and use is a plus.
Problem Solving - Strives to understand contributing factors, works to resolve complex situations.
Productivity - Manages workload, works efficiently, meets goals and objectives.
Organizational Skills (6S) – Is able to create and/or maintain a clean and organized environment for all associates on-site.

Computer Skills – Proficient with Outlook, Excel, Word and Visio, takes advantage of new technology, learns new tools quickly, uses technology to enhance job performance.
Tool Skills – High level of proficiency required for the use of basic tools (i.e. screw drivers, wrenches, levels, paint supplies, etc) for day-to-day activities.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required.
2-3 years related work experience in a professional, preferable manufacturing environment.
Intermediate computer skills required to include Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
ITAR compliance.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $23.50 - $25.00 Per Hour
