Facility Cleaner - PrideStaff

Facility Cleaner - 1st Shift - Asheville - $18.00

PrideStaff is recruiting for a Custodian for 1^st Shift for a manufacturing company located in Asheville.   

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
• Clean inside of clean rooms, which requires gowning up. 
• Gather and empty trash. 
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms. 
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures. 
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees. 
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment. 
• Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications. 
• Steam-clean or shampoo carpets. 
• Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors. 
• Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.

Requirements and Qualifications: 

• Good knowledge of janitorial activities and related cleaning equipment and materials
• Knowledge of all established workplace safety and security procedures
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop for 8-hour shift 
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs 
• Must be able perform repetitive motion for extensive amount of time
