The Facility Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the effective operation, maintenance, and functionality of our facilities. This position is essential for supporting daily activities by addressing and resolving issues related to the physical infrastructure.

Facility Maintenance Technician Roles and Responsibilities:

- Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs.
- Report and resolve problems found during inspections using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Monitor inventory of materials and equipment; complete daily reports through CMMS.
- Perform hands-on maintenance work and basic repairs as needed.
- Repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests, addressing issues efficiently.
- Oversee third-party vendors during installations, repairs, or maintenance (e.g., electricians, plumbers).
- Define the scope of work, specifying tasks, timelines, and expected outcomes.
- Maintain detailed records of work progress, changes, and any issues that arise during projects.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Associate’s degree.
Strong knowledge of health and safety practices and regulations. Technical proficiency in building systems (electrical, heating, plumbing, etc.). Intermediate to advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Understanding of budgeting and performance management. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in paint and drywall finishing. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Well-organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively. Experience with hand and power tools.
Proven experience (2+ years) as a maintenance or facilities technician.
This position handles physical money or negotiates contracts, managing between $6,000 and $12,000 annually.

The employee will be frequently required to reach with hands and arms, bend, balance, kneel, crouch, crawl, push, and pull. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is subject to environmental conditions, protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. The worker is subject to noise; there may be sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout to be heard above ambient noise level.
