About the Job
The Maintenance Technician III is responsible for providing support in general maintenance, preventative maintenance, and the upkeep of the entire service center. Responsibilities include maintaining all Facility/ Material Handling Equipment, and ground equipment through preventative maintenance schedules while providing additional support to the maintenance department as required.

• *Troubleshoot and repair extensive electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems (i.e. Programable Logic Controller malfunctions, transformer failures, VFD diagnostics, shoe/tilt tray sorter repairs, servo motor troubleshooting, cardboard baler service, etc…).
• *Ensure all assigned equipment is fully operational at beginning of shift which includes checking for damage and reporting all damages or malfunctions to supervisor immediately.
• *Operate lift trucks, maintenance equipment, grounds equipment, and company vehicles.
• *Perform extensive maintenance procedures including conducting daily preventative maintenance inspections.
• *Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects or needed repairs to the supervisor; cleans equipment.
• *Properly follows critical Lock Out / Tag Out actions while working on equipment.
• *Properly follows company and OSHA safety procedures; use required Personal Protective Equipment (i.e. safety glasses, Arc flash suits, respirators, and fall protection).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Support Junior Technicians through basic facility/grounds maintenance including but not limited to basic plumbing, yard work, lightbulb replacement, drywall repair, HVAC checks, cleaning, and floor repairs.
• Support Junior Technicians through troubleshooting and repair of basic electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems (i.e. belt tracking, sensors, chain alignment and tension, replace/repair gear boxes/motors, electrical overloads, blown fuses, broken mac valves, etc…) as well as analyze and repair basic system/material handling equipment malfunctions.
• Ability to read, write, conduct business related mathematics, analyze data, and utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System as required.
• Brings problems to the attention of the supervisor, manager, safety director or HR manager.
• Follows daily procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings.
• All other duties as assigned; willing to use industrial power tools such as welders, bandsaws, lathes, presses, bench grinders, etc…..
• Effectively communicate/interact amicably with fellow associates, team members, supervisors, and managers.

• Required to stand (stationary position) during scheduled hours. Hours usually include weekends, evenings, and holidays in conjunction with labor regulations.
• Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to communicate using various methods.
• Kneeling, stooping, using stairs, reaching, pulling, climbing ladders, and moving weights of 0-25 pounds constantly, 25-40 pounds occasionally and over 40 pounds seldomly with or without assistance as needed.
• Ability to move up to 40 pounds at least 25 feet in distance occasionally with assistance as needed.
• Must be comfortable ambulating 30-40 feet in the air.
• Must be able to comfortably fit and work in a fall protection harness
• Based on business necessity associates may be required to temporarily work in other locations that require different physical demands.
Required Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 5 years previous Material Handling Equipment maintenance experience or 2 years previous Material Handling Equipment maintenance experience with 5 years previous maintenance experience in a relevant field.
• Knowledge of AC/DC Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems; plumbing, carpentry, Programmable Logic Controller/Material Handling Equipment systems, and advanced understanding of general building maintenance procedures and techniques.
• Advance knowledge of Lock Out / Tag Out actions while working on equipment and OSHA safety procedures / use of Personal Protective Equipment (i.e. safety glasses, Arc flash suits, respirators, and fall protection).
Benefits:
Base rate paid bi-weekly: $23.00 / hour
Shift Differential: Additional $1.25 / hour for 3rd shift
