We are currently seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Facility Technician to join our team. As the facility technician you will perform daily preventative maintenance for the entire Brosnan Yard. The position reports directly to the Regional Manager of Field Services.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for handyman type of repairs
- Perform weekly quality control for facility related issues/deficiencies and keep a log of daily report
- Identify pro-actively safety issues related to the site/buildings
- Report findings to Regional Manager Facilities Improvements once a week
- Maintain and repair facilities, equipment, and assets by using multiple craft skills(ex. Plumbing, electrical, carpentry) and using hand tools, power tools and other equipment as needed to complete tasks
- Manage work order management platform
- Responsible handling all daily work orders and providing prompt responses on status to users. This will require a documentation of the repair activities and closeout of work orders
- Coordinate the winterization of vacant building as needed
- Coordinate contracted 3rd party vendors as needed for repairs
- Monitor 3rd party vendor service levels for completion and quality
- Perform miscellaneous facility services as directed
- Perform meter reading for all utilities
- Develop an access control program for keys and security cards
- Contact local and on-site police for any emergencies as needed
- Able to respond to emergencies within one hour
Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in facility management repairs
- Able to communicate effectively to internal customers
- Able to coordinate work with 3rd part contractors
- Able to multitask
- Able to troubleshoot with strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Basic level knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Safety champion, able to work alone
- Ability to climb and work at heights
- Ability to walk the site
- Preferably some knowledge of roofing systems
Benefits:
- Starting salary: $56,376/year
- Full-time; 8 hours a day
- Monday – Friday; 7am – 4pm; and after-hours support for emergencies
- 1 week paid vacation after 1 year
