Qualifications:

EDUCATION

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology, or related discipline. Required
• Master's Degree in Engineering Technology, or related discipline. Preferred

EXPERIENCE

• Three (3) years teaching experience in a machining and or automated manufacturing program with multi-axis CNC machining, robotics, and related automation Preferred
• 5 years of industrial experience in manual and 5-axis CNC machining, CAD/CAM, robotics, and related automation Required
• 3-5 years of experience in common milling and turning operations, abrasive machining, and heat treatment. Required
• Experience in programming, setup and operation of multi-axis CNC machinery, robotics and control systems that are part of a computer integrated manufacturing environment. Required
• Experience with parametric design software such as AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS, or Inventor, and CAM software such as MasterCAM, as well as advanced CNC programming using macros and subprograms. Required

• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form. Required

 

Responsibilities:

Instruct and evaluate student performance in the Automation, advanced manufacturing, quality assurance, and/or Computer Integrated Manufacturing courses.

Advise, schedule, and maintain accurate up-to-date records on students.

Write and update course syllabi; assist with curriculum review, revision, and development.

Maintain office hours according to contractual guidelines.

Engage in professional development and technological upgrading activities.

Contribute to the betterment of the College through School committee participation.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with the development of grant proposals and with follow-up activities.

Contribute to the betterment of the College through College-wide committee participation.

Assume responsibility for laboratory development, coordination, and maintenance.

Physical Standards and Special Job Features:Required lifting of weights up to 50 pounds. Requires ability to function on a manufacturing/ instructional floor to demonstrate machine and system operation(s).Pay Transparency:Commensurate with credentials submitted as applied to the College’s Faculty Salary System. As a point of reference, the salary range for new full-time faculty hired in various disciplines throughout the College for the 2024/25 academic year is $60,563 – $78,407.
