The candidate will be responsible for handling a variety of family law matters, from divorce and separation to child custody and support issues.
Responsibilities:
- Provide competent legal counsel to clients on various family law matters including divorce, child custody, child support, and other related issues.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations.
- Conduct thorough case investigations to ascertain the facts of the case.
- Draft, review, and file all court documents such as petitions, pleadings, and motions.
- Develop and implement case strategy in coordination with clients, keeping them informed and involved in the process.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience in family law practice.
- Must be a licensed attorney in good standing with the state bar.
- Proven experience in mediation, case management, child custody, and child support matters.
- Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to counsel clients on sensitive matters with empathy and professionalism.
- Exceptional negotiation skills, with a proven track record of achieving favorable outcomes for clients.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate legal strategies and options to clients.
