Job Description: The firm is seeking a skilled Family Law Paralegal to join its legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience in family law and be able to assist attorneys in all aspects of case management, including document preparation, client communication, discovery, and trial preparation. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented paralegal who is passionate about helping families navigate complex legal issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in managing family law cases from intake through resolution.
- Draft and file legal documents, including petitions, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
- Conduct client interviews, gather necessary case information, and maintain client communication throughout the process.
- Organize and maintain case files, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documents.
- Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, and mediation sessions.
- Prepare exhibits and other materials for hearings and trials.
Qualifications:
- Paralegal certification or equivalent experience in family law.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on family law preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive matters with professionalism and empathy.
- Proficient in legal research and document preparation.
