Requirements:
- Lived Experience with as a parent or caregiver of a child with mental health challenges
- Eligibility under current PA legal and regulatory requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- PA Child Abuse Clearance, PA State Police Clearance, PA FBI Clearance
- Sensitivity to service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics

Responsibilities:
- Advocate for families' needs within mental health systems, ensuring their voices are hears in treatment planning and service delivery.
- Provide one on one and group peer support to families of children with mental health issues.
- Build and maintain partnerships with local organizations, schools, and community resources to enhance support networks for families.
- Collaborate with mental health professionals to ensure the integration of peer support in treatment plans.
- Travel will occur within Luzerne County and Wyoming County as well as the potential for travel out of state.

This position combined lived experience with professional skills to provide peer support, advocacy, and education to families, empowering them to navigate mental health systems and resources effectively. The Family Lead Peer Coordinator will also coordinate peer support groups, develop educational materials, and foster community partnerships to enhance services for children and families.
