Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients in a broad-spectrum family practice that serves all ages and conditions, including prenatal care.
- Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
- Order, perform, and interpret tests and analyze records, reports, and examination information to diagnose patients' condition.
- Complete charting in Athena and required paperwork within 72 business hours.
- Maintain confidential patient information.
- Participate in the development/review of organizational policies and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in monthly provider meetings.
- Ensure appropriate Communication with patients, staff, and external parties.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual Spanish/English required.
- Graduate of accredited medical school with degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO).
- Completion of Accredited Residency.
- Board certification in specialty. If newly graduated, must be obtained within 2 years of graduation. Must be kept current during course of employment.
- Active, unrestricted license to practice within the State of Illinois.
- Active, current Illinois Controlled Substance and federal DEA certificate, without restriction.
- Current provider-level BLS CPR certification.
