The University of Florida, Department of Community Health and Family Medicine (CHFM) is seeking compassionate Family Medicine Physicians to join our dynamic team at our state-of-the-art multispecialty healthcare facility in East Gainesville, slated to open in July 2024. This exciting new location is a collaborative partnership between the University of Florida, the City of Gainesville, and Alachua County dedicated to enhancing accessible and community-focused healthcare in East Gainesville. Learn more and apply on Careers at UF: Position Highlights: Flexible rotating schedule, offering weekday and/or weekend shifts Well-supported facility in an establish healthcare system, with two physicians and two advanced practice providers, alongside dedicated nursing staff (RNs/LPNs), medical assistants, a social worker, and front desk coverage. Deliver high-quality, comprehensive primary medical care services to patients of all ages, focusing on preventive care, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic illnesses. Conduct thorough physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop personalized treatment plans. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care. Utilize Epic as the electronic medical record system (EMR) to accurately document patient encounters and maintain up-to-date medical records. Stay updated with the latest advancements in family medicine and participate in continuing medical education activities. The facility anticipates seeing a patient volume ranging from 12,000 to 15,000 in the first year, averaging 25-35 patients per 12-hour shift. Facility Details: The facility boasts a well-equipped infrastructure with eight spacious examination rooms, two dedicated procedure rooms, on-site lab draws, and a state-of-the-art general radiology X-ray room It serves as the cornerstone for future services on the premises, including dentistry, mental health, and a mobility hub. In addition to the clinical areas, the facility features support spaces to ensure seamless operations and efficient patient care. The facility includes a versatile Community space designed for various engagement opportunities, fostering a sense of community and promoting patient involvement. Operating seven days a week, the facility welcomes walk-in patients, ensuring accessibility and convenience. The urgent care facility will be a sprawling 8,000 to 10,000 square-foot and will be located at 2015 SW Hawthorne Rd, Gainesville, FL 32641Compensation and Gator Perks: Salary is competitive and is commensurate with education and experience.
