About the Job
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team
Type: Full Time (Onsite 5x per week)
Schedule: Mon-Fri: 10am-7pm; Sunday: 10am-4pm
Location: New Yor, NY
Overview
The ideal candidate will provide primary healthcare services to patients of all ages, focusing on disease prevention, health promotion, and patient education. Facility is a comprehensive Primary and Specialty care organization.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive physical assessments
Diagnose and treat common acute illnesses and injuries
Manage chronic health conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma
Order and interpret diagnostic tests
Prescribe medications and treatments
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention strategies
Skills
Proficiency in Athenahealth electronic health record system
Experience in emergency medicine, clinic, assisted living, urgent care, or senior care settings
Knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems
Ability to perform phlebotomy procedures
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable with inhalation therapies
Education:
Bachelor's (Required)
Language:
Spanish (Preferred)
Russian (Preferred)
License/Certification:
NYS NP License (Required)
