-Reports to Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) Chief; 1 Medical Director MD, 2 MD Providers, 3 NP Providers, 1 Administrative Officer, (Mental Health team- 1 Psych, a social worker and a MSA).
-This position is based out of the Rutherfordton CBOC location for Charles George VA Medical Center (Asheville, NC).
RCBOC: Outpatient, 4 Patient Aligned Care Teams (PACT), 3,461 patients enrolled currently, telehealth, audiology, optometry, lab, mental health and physical therapy, reports to Medical Director.
-Work schedule: 8-4 pm Monday-Friday; no call coverage

-Malpractice Insurance VA physicians are covered under the Federal Tort Claims Act - 28 U.S.C. § 1346 and 28 U.S.C § 2671. Medical personnel have statutory immunity from "individual" malpractice liability while acting within the scope of employment; a VA physician cannot be sued in civil court for a malpractice (tort) claim.
