POSITION DESCRIPTION
FAMILY PARTNERSHIP MANAGER
Reports to: Program Director FLSA Classification: Exempt
Status: Full Time
Shift: Eight hour shift alternating with Family Advocate

Overall Responsibility
The Family Partnership Manger is responsible for overseeing recruitment and retention of children and families, social services referral system, parent involvement, and coordination of parent/family events. Provides direct support to families via information, referrals and available community resources. Helps keep staff appraised of parent issues. Ensures compliance with institution and partner agencies mandates. Supervise Family Advocate, interns/Vistas, parent volunteers and others as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Builds positive relationships with children, families and staff
- Selects and review potential enrollments/transitions with the Program Director to ensure appropriate enrollment
- Actively manage & engage waitlist(s) to ensure full enrollment
- Ensures clear communication of expectations with parents via 30 day check-in: attendance, pick up & drop-off, Flance policies & procedures required of families - community service hours, surveys, etc.
- Oversees the enrollment process to ensure full enrollment
- Ensures completion, uploading and maintenance of all necessary paperwork, including: application, enrollment, orientation, partnership forms, transitions and disenrollments
- Oversees file preparation & selection for site visits and audits
- Compiles and maintains demographics of Flance clients; communicates & reports information monthly and annually
- Maintains familiarity with Missouri Department of Social Services website and requirements
- Schedules all appropriate health vendors, verifies all required student medical appointments; i.e - physical, dental, vision, hearing, etc. are met
- Creates partnerships with community organizations to provide families resources
- Assures compliance with accreditation, HS/EHS contract requirements and licensing standards; i.e - Policy Council requirements
- Maintains and communicates necessary health information for classrooms. e - allergies, food substitutions, health issues, etc.
- Supports HS/EHS Parent Representative & partner agency
- Secures weekly food boxes and food pantry donations
- Monitors CACFP food program requirements within classrooms
- Plans, oversees and attends community events to encourage enrollments and transitions i.e - kindergarten fair
- Provides workshops and trainings to meet parent and family needs i.e - Infant massage, parenting classes, etc.
- Provides general administrative support and other duties as required
Skills and Attributes
- Knowledge of local community programs and agencies. Ability to use sound judgment in analyzing social services information to recommend appropriate available services

- Attention to detail and ability to follow through
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Prior Childplus and Procare experience preferred
- As the "face of the organization" must be welcoming and approachable
- Must be extremely well-organized and flexible; strong time management skills and able to multi-task and work in a sometimes-chaotic environment in which he/she is rarely able to complete a task without interruption
- Good recall or system for remembering names especially helpful for greeting families and guests
- Desire to work around children and families, people of all ages
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, as necessary
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Supervises Family Advocate
Environmental Factors
Indoor, primarily works out of office. Noise and activity levels can be high; staff, visitors, families and children always come and go. May have to drop work in order to attend to a crisis. Position requires a health screen, fingerprint background check and annual Family Safety Registry background check. Flance Center is a busy, unique environment. Employees are expected to participate fully in the life of the Center. All employees must be able to lift 25 lbs. in the event of an evacuation or emergency.
Education/Experience
- Bachelors degree required; early childhood education or related degree preferred
- Three years relevant experience required
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office products
- Previous experience in educational and/or non-profit environment a plus
- Strong written and verbal skills; excellent proofreading skills
- Understanding of child care licensing regulations
