Looking for an amazing Physician to join our clinic! Clinic located near Colby, Kansas. Salary range $190,000.00 to $400,000.00 based on experience. New grads are encouraged to apply.
GENERAL SUMMARY: To provide quality primary care to patients with a range of potential illness, injuries or disabilities. Oversee the care which is delivered by the staff to the clinic patients and contributes to the design and management of the policies and procedures of the rural health clinic.
Is held accountable for policies and procedures of the department and organization. Additionally, the position serves as a role model for ethical management behavior and promotes an awareness and understanding of positive ethical and moral principles consistent with the Mission, Vision and Behavior Standards of the hospital.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Attend work as scheduled.
2. Comply with the Code of Conduct.
3. Acts as Medical Director with supervision of Mid-Level Providers if appropriate
4. Treat patients who seek medical attention at the hospital, within appropriate scope of service.
5. Provide medical services, within the scope of services, to patients at the hospital when medically necessary.
6. Coordinate patient care with other providers and/or specialists as needed-referrals.
7. Provide coverage to the Emergency Department per the on-call schedule.
Clinic family practice care for acute and chronic diseases
Prescribing patient medications
Conducting routine physical examinations,
Call coverage (for clinic, walk-in and Emergency Care)
Emergency care
Acute care (admissions of patient to the hospital)
Swing bed care
Nursing Home Rounds
Proctor Students
8. Participate in monthly Medical Staff meetings.
9. Complete assigned tasks and documentation in the medical record.
10. Create documentation in the medical record per patient encounter within 10 days of service.
11. Maintain patient charts at the hospital per approved policy requirements.
12. Participate in the quality improvement activities of the clinic.
13. Assist in the development, review and implementation of hospital and clinic policies, procedures and protocols.
14. Provide public education as requested.
15. Participate in various required meetings (Quality, Risk, Infection Prevention, Peer Review, etc.)
16. Review the medical records created by the Mid-Level Providers.
17. Communicate with patient and family members the plan of care.
18. Interpretation of diagnostic testing.
19. Actively model the hospital’s mission, vision, values and behavior standards.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
Education: Doctorate degree in medicine
Experience: Position requires considerable assertiveness, independent decision-
making, and excellent organizational and communication skills.
Preferred licensure/certification: Current Kansas Medical License, Kansas DEA, certification in BLS, ACLY, ATLS and PALS
Additional Information:
Averaged of 16 days of call per quarter
Schedule:
4 Full Days a week in the RHC – 9AM-5PM
Inpatient, Swing, Obs rounding during 4 full day in RHC
ED Call Rotation
Back-Up call for Mid-Levels
Salary $190,000.00 to $400,000.00 depending on experience.
