Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician to join our partner hospital in scenic Berkshire County, MA. Position Description

The Family Practice Physician will play a crucial role in delivering both routine and emergency clinical care, promoting health, and practicing preventative medicine. We seek a physician who aligns with our client's mission, vision, and values while adhering to compliance protocols and established procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Provide comprehensive and continuing care, including health history collection, physical assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and referral management.
• Medication Management: Prescribe and manage medications within your specialty, interpret lab results, and provide case management services as needed.
• Call Schedule: Participate in the practice's on-call rotation.
• Certification Maintenance: Maintain board certification and other required certifications (BLS, PALS).
• Documentation: Accurately and timely maintain patient medical records within the electronic health record system.
• Billing: Submit patient charges promptly.
• Teamwork and Collaboration:
  • Support the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
  • Serve as a community ambassador.
  • Participate in practice and organizational meetings and events.
  • Provide constructive guidance and feedback to colleagues.
  • Participate in the peer review program and supervise colleagues as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from an accredited medical school and completion of an accredited residency.
• Licensing:
  • Active and unrestricted Massachusetts medical license.
  • Licensing through the USMLE.
• Experience:
  • Prefer previous practice experience but will consider new grads with J1.
  • Prefer bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Skills:
  • Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of current medical practices and standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-based environment.
  • Experience in managing chronic conditions and providing preventive care services.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems for documentation purposes.
  • Completes administrative tasks correctly and on time.
  • Excellent time-management skills.
  • Prepares and presents statistical and other reports in oral or written form as required.
