Position Description: Sales Floor Manager Trainee
Reports To: Sales Manager
Position Summary: This sales person is directly responsible for selling vehicles meeting gross profit, volume and customer satisfaction standards.
Must present a professional appearance.
Learn and exhibit strong customer relations, closing and leadership skills.
5000.00 bonus after qualification period (to be discussed at interview)
Essential Dutiesand Responsibilities:
· Determine each customer’s vehicle needs by asking pertinentquestions and carefully listening.
· Demonstratevehicles, including test drives.
· Properlyintroduce new customers to the Service facilities and to the appropriateService personnel.
· Delivervehicles to customers. Ensures customer understands the vehicle’s operatingfeatures, warranty and maintenance schedule while laying the foundation forcustomer loyalty.
· Maintainan owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business andcontributes to customer satisfaction.
· Keepinformed of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits tocustomers.
· Reviewwith the Sales Manager monthly objectives, weekly activities and daily plannedactivities.
· Understandthe terminology of the automobile business, be informed on technologicalchanges in the products and be able to communicate to customers.
· Reportany vehicle lot damage or any problem with a vehicle to the Sales Managerimmediately.
· Know andunderstand federal, state and local laws which govern retail auto sales.
· Completeall training as directed by supervisor.
· Followpolicies and procedures as set forth in Employee Handbook.
· Anyother duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skillsand Abilities Required:
Educational: High schooldiploma or the equivalent.
Experience: None.
Special Skills (i.e.,licenses, certifications): Excellent oral and written communication skills.Must be able to sell a minimum quota according to facility standards. Abilityto use personal computer applications including word processing and spreadsheetsoftware. Current valid driver’s license and state sales license.
Physical Demandsand Working Conditions:
The noise level in thework environment is occasionally loud. Occasionally requires the ability tolift 20 pounds of material. Is potentially exposed to battery acid, gasoline,chemical cleaning materials or other toxic materials commonly found in a motorvehicle dealership. Occasionally, exposed to exhaust fumes or other airborneparticles.
