Are you a detail-oriented engineer with a passion for automotive innovation? Entech Staffing Solutions is seeking a talented Fastener Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the optimal design and implementation of bolted joints across our vehicle lineup. This is a DIRECT HIRE position with the company pay starting at $100K.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Design Engineers to optimize bolted joint designs for manufacturability and specify tooling requirements.

• Source and procure necessary fasteners, drawings, and samples.

• Conduct upfront analysis of bolted joint systems to identify potential issues and minimize redesigns.

• Partner with test technicians to define test parameters and analyze test data.

• Determine optimal torque settings for production assembly.

• Identify opportunities for fastener communization and standardization.

• Report fastener-related issues to management and work with suppliers to implement improvements and adopt new technologies.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including line walks, serviceability enhancements, assembly time reduction, and cost reduction.

• Facilitate mechanical joint and fastener reviews to identify opportunities for consistency, complexity reduction, and cost control.

• Ability to work extended hours as needed to meet deadlines and resolve critical issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Materials Engineering, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in Fastener Engineering within the automotive OEM or supplier industry.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and tooling.

• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Broad knowledge of vehicle systems, including powertrain, chassis, electrical, thermal, exterior, and interior components and their associated fasteners.

• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015).

• Proficiency in MS Office tools (MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Passion for the automotive industry.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.

• Outstanding attention to detail.

• Physical capability to perform job duties.
