Summary
Assign and/or direct company personnel responsible for the coordination of Oncor and contract resources for construction and maintenance of company facilities to ensure a safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of energy to our customers.
Key Roles & Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned. Directly or through others, the incumbent will:
+ Coordinate with Transmission Construction Managers (CM) and Coordinators (CC) to schedule and balance the workload of Oncor and contractor Field Construction Coordinator (FCC) resources.
+ Coordinates with Oncor FCC and FCC contract firms to provide timely information and materials for the construction of the Oncor Transmission and Distribution system.
+ Coordinates with CC, CM, and FCC to review work schedules and in-service dates to ensure they match the work sequence drawings. If revisions are required, ensure updates are provided to all vested parties.
+ Review of work schedules that shift and the potential impact on NOMCR or Asset Commission Form submittals
+ Participates in various types of construction meetings as required including but not limited to: Region construction meetings, on-site construction meetings, meetings with local transmission office, etc.
+ Ensures compliance with local ordinances and regulations.
+ Manages employee activity and cost in support of the business plan.
+ Promotes safety awareness and participates in safety meetings.
+ Provide training and job-related experience in support of employee growth and development.
+ Facilitate vetting of contract Field Construction Coordinators.
+ Facilitate progression review of Oncor Field Construction Coordinators.
+ Performs all essential aspects and functions of the job as well as any other specific job requirements.
Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements
+ Preferred Associate degree in related field or High School Diploma or equivalent with 5 years’ experience with operations and/or construction of electric utility facilities.
+ 5 years of directly related work experience required
+ Thorough knowledge of all Transmission construction activities and processes including both civil and overhead design, construction, specifications and procedures.
+ Knowledgeable of Oncor and Contractor Safety Handbooks and safety practices dealing with transmission construction activities.
+ Knowledgeable of the change order process.
+ Excellent communication skills required to develop and maintain good working relationships with all work groups.
+ Knowledgeable of iTOA, NOMCR and Asset Commissioning process.
+ Computer skills associated with PETE, Maximo, OTIS, Field HQ, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. preferred.
+ Understanding of the working relationship between Oncor and its contractors.
+ Understanding of contractual terms and conditions.
Measures of Success
+ Strong project management, leadership and coordination skills; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously over a large geographical area.
+ The successful candidate will be responsible for managing construction projects safely, efficiently and ensuring projects are completed in a timely manner. This will require open and regular communication with Construction Managers, Construction Coordinators, Oncor and contract Field Construction Coordinators and various Oncor personnel to coordinate activities that will allow for a transparent handoff between organizations.
+ Promote safe working habits, ensure Oncor/Contractor safety handbooks are followed. Assist in safety investigations, and report findings to TCM leadership/safety.
+ Contractor vetting facilitation and coordination.
+ FCC progression development and facilitation.
