It is going to be located in Hampton, VA most likely at Langley AFB.
Hours are Monday - Friday 8am - 5 pm
100% Onsite during those hours
There is an on call schedule but should be once a quarter
Pay Rate Range $75-$80 an hour
Federal Senior Solution Architect - Secret
Automation and Infrastructure
- Design and implement infrastructure provisioning automation using IaC practices and tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, etc.
- Maintain services including Windows AD, DNS, Federation Services, Exchange/E-mail, MS SQL, MS System Center, or equivalent cloud provider services.
- Ensure compatibility of cloud and hybrid services to provide seamless offerings to customers.
- Monitor infrastructure resource usage to ensure adequate compute and storage capacity in all KR-operated environments.
- Continuously monitor IaaS and PaaS uptime in all KR-operated environments and provide uptime and usage data to the Government upon request.
- Respond to escalated technical issues from customers or team members until resolution.
- Provide 24/7 on-call support as needed, including Tier 2 and Tier 3 Help Desk support, incident response, and incident mitigation. Utilize the global workforce to minimize costs and maximize coverage.
- Ensure secure implementations of infrastructure services using industry best practices, STIGs, vendor recommendations, or as directed by KR.
- Ensure full utilization of necessary software and hardware, and recommend changes or updates for enterprise implementations.
- Support IaaS Architects with project planning, troubleshooting, and implementation to ensure highly available, secure, and accessible infrastructure.
- Capture and plan for future capacity and feature requests.
- Enable hosting of any KR-chosen platform, such as Kubernetes.
- Provide technical expertise and maintain detailed architectural designs, plans, and documentation in accordance with industry standards. This includes documentation on infrastructure and networks, storage infrastructure configuration, data sharing and migration plans, recovery plans, incident response plans, and backup and archiving plans.
