Originally founded by the Engler Family in 1975, today we operate 15 Feedyards and Outside Cattle Locations producing over a million head of fed cattle annually. The Company has locations throughout the Texas Panhandle, Southwest Kansas, and Eastern Colorado.

Job Description:
The Mill Foreman is responsible for the consistent daily production of various feed rations at the feedyard. The Mill Forman observes and inspects machinery to ensure that all equipment is running effectively to obtain maximum production levels. Additionally, the Mill foreman will assist in batching feed for the cattle and assist in team management and development.
A Feedmill Foreman (Mill Foreman) is one of the rotational roles in our entry-level management Foreman Trainee Program. The Foreman Trainee Program is designed to be a rotational experience through all feedyard departments: Feed Delivery, Cattle, Feedmill, Yard/Outside Operations (if applicable).
Responsibilities:
- Inspect feedmill machinery daily
- Observe and follow the computer system to detect maintenance tasks needed
- Assist crew with daily mill housekeeping items; cleaning and organizing work areas
- Comply with corporate safety practices, procedures, and mandatory regulations such as EPA, TCFA, BQA, FDA, and OSHA
- Oversee and perform feed ingredient mixing
- Load feed onto feed trucks
- Effective communication across all feedyard departments, especially the Feed Delivery Team
- Work alongside the Feedmill Manager to supervise and train employees
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
- Obtained a college degree in an agriculture-related field (Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree, preferred, but not required)
- Prior knowledge and experience in one or more of cattle production segments (cow-calf, stocker, cattle feeding) is preferred
- 1-2 Years of mechanical knowledge and operating heavy equipment is a plus
- General Understanding of boilers and electrical systems is a plus
- A Team Player mentality
- Exhibit effective communication skills
- Demonstrate the ability to problem solve and prioritize daily responsibilities
- An individual who possesses a strong work ethic and self-starter mentality
- Willingness to contribute to agriculture and the fed cattle industry
