Full-Time /Non-Exempt
Starting Pay $27.00 - $32.00 per hour.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Fence Lead position supervises a fence crew, installs and removes temporary fences, and works with customers to resolve concerns.
The position does require a clean driver's license record and a minimum of 2 years of experience driving a truck or commercial vehicle.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
- Distribute daily paperwork to the work crew and explain work to be completed as needed. Make sure paperwork is completed and correct.
- Completes administrative tasks such as collection of signatures for all work performed, employee time sheets, and other paperwork.
- Assist with loading trucks with all materials and tools needed to complete work orders.
- Coordinate the work of the Fence Installer and inspect work progress.
- Drive company commercial truck to job sites and back to branch following DOT regulations.
- Conduct daily pre/post trip inspections and review of assigned vehicles and documents utilizing the Dossier Fleet Management System. Assist in conducting daily inspections of all tools assigned to the truck to ensure safety and proper working conditions. Make sure guards have not been removed from tools.
- Work with customers for information and questions regarding site specifications.
- Review job sites for access, ground conditions, safety hazards, or obstructions before installation of the fence. Make sure to document any labor difficulties or issues that might slow progress. Explain any site issues with customers if they are there.
- Assist with unloading all fence materials and installing the fence with appropriate tools at the work site by pre-determined specifications per your paperwork.
- Document all materials used on the job site including any additional labor or material.
- Remove the rental fence from the site and safely load it on the truck for transportation back to the yard. You must always use 2 load belts or more for all loads, this is the law and policy.
- Inspect all fence materials for damage. Document all damage take pictures and send to office for file records. Tell the customer on-site about damaged or missing materials.
- Repair temporary fencing units at job site as requested by customer.
- Assist with maintenance and organization of materials in the fenced yard, including repairing materials, and disposing of damaged or old materials as instructed.
- Maintaining trucks so they are clean and well stocked. Inspect what you expect.
- Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Giving daily instruction to crews and discussing jobs to be completed, delegating work to crews as needed. Hand out paperwork to crews. Making sure paperwork is completed properly daily. Communicating information from management to staff as instructed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Commercial driver's license A or B with two (2) years of commercial driving experience and a clean driving record.
- One (1) year of fencing and/or construction industry experience.
- Ability to locate and understand utility markings, and follow requirements for underground utility safety.
- Ability to effectively communicate and work closely with a team.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to withstand all types of weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and stand and physically work for 8 hours per day.
- Practical skills for using hand and power tools.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) and minimum 2 years. general labor and commercial driving experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee will be in a shop environment and is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat; and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. This position requires employees to travel using company vehicles to off-site work locations using company vehicles and wearing the required PPE.
