Your Role as a Fiber Optic Technician:

As a Fiber Optic Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Installing and terminating fiber optic cables, including fusion splicing and the use of anaerobic LC, ST, and SC connectors.
• Testing fiber optic networks using an OTDR tester and troubleshooting any issues.
• Working with both Cat5e/Cat6 and fiber optic cables, ensuring proper installation, termination, and testing.
• Collaborating with a skilled team to deliver excellent service on various commercial projects across Texas.

Background Profile:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• 1+ year of experience in terminating, splicing, and testing fiber optic cables.
• Proficiency in fusion splicing and using OTDR testers.
• Familiarity with BICSI, EIA, TIA, or NEC standards.
• Willingness to travel overnight for projects within Texas (up to 4 days per week).
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
