Fiduciary Accountant - Spherion

Spherion is seeking a Fiduciary Accountant for a prestigious Law Firm in Naples, FL. This is a direct hire placement with a full benefit package which includes medical, dental, vision, life, PTO, etc.

Responsibilities:
Document Analysis: Analyze wills, trusts, and legal documents in compliance with legal practices.
Financial Management: Organize financial statements and spreadsheets for tax preparation.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, and external personnel to obtain essential financial and legal information.
Estate Planning Review: Analyze estate planning documents, including wills and trust agreements, for tax return preparation.
Asset and Debt Collection: Gather and organize asset and debt information for estates and trusts.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
Tax Return Preparation: Prepare federal and state tax returns, including Forms 1041, 706, 1040, 709, and 5227, for estates, trusts, individuals, and non-profit organizations.
Fiduciary Accounting: Prepare probate and fiduciary accountings for trusts and estates.
Compliance and Filing: Track deadlines and file timely extensions and returns, addressing IRS notices and resolving tax issues as needed.
Systems Implementation: Develop accounting systems for managing client investments and facilitating tax preparation.

Education:
Bachelors

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
Degree in accounting or finance is required
Minimum of 2 years as a Fiduciary Accountant or tax preparer.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Estate Val Software (EVP), ProSystem FX, FastTax, and GEMS.
Experience with fiduciary accounting, trust and estate procedures, and trial balance sheets.
Strong communication, attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and work well in a team environment.
