Position Summary:
This position is responsible for performing first level on-site technical and administrative duties within the manufacturing environment. Follows standard procedures and has some supervision or management, but also needs to be self directed at times.
What will you do
- Assist in the collection, analysis, testing and recording of machine samples, as directed.
- Participate in addition of chemicals; including coolants, greases, oils, lubricants, cleaners and biocides as directed by site staff.
- Enter data for daily results into site software program.
- Assist in routine maintenance on equipment and fluid systems including product additions, filter changes, sump cleaning, etc., as directed.
- Assist in disposal of contaminated articles (i.e. pails, gloves, samples, etc.) in accordance with prescribed measures, including waste management and recycling initiatives.
- Assist in maintaining and calibrating all laboratory equipment; such as scales, pH meters, glassware, incubators, etc. in accordance with site control plan.
- Has responsibility for general cleaning of oil storage rooms, laboratory, equipment and areas of the production floor (i.e. chipping, mopping, sweeping, emptying trash, etc.).
- Supports site staff general organization initiatives (inventory, storage rooms, labeling, etc.)
- Comply with all Company Policies: to include but not limited to Code of Conduct and expense reporting, etc.
- Ownership of individual development plan (IDP) as agreed upon with direct line manager.
WORK ENVIRONMENT / EHS RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to travel between multiple customer buildings and sites.
- Maintain the highest EH&S standards of all sites visited.
What do we look for
- High school diploma or GED required. May be required to obtain certifications/licenses.
- Minimum of 1 - 2 years related industry experience required.

- Ability to work independently and/or with minimal supervision.
- Communications skills – Written, verbal and active listening.
- Proficient in English – Written and spoken.
- Must have basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Must have a valid drivers license
