Known as the tri-state area, we border Pennsylvania and West Virginia. HTS is part of the nationwide Heritage Environmental Services.
This Field Chemist position will be stationed at our customer site in Inwood, WV - south of Martinsburg in the lower Shenandoah Valley.
About the position:
Responsibilities include completing fieldwork that requires segregating, packing, labeling and manifesting waste for shipment and disposal. Solid customer service skills are a must.
Requirements:
- College Degree in Chemistry or a related science
- Ability to lead a field crew to segregate, pack, label and manifest hazardous waste for disposal at HTS and other sites
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Advanced computer skills in Word, Excel, and Access
- Flexible work schedule including weekends and off shift work
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical, background check and drug screen
Minimum Education:
- College Degree in Chemistry or a related science
Responsibilities include:
- Truck driving, waste pick-ups and leading field service jobs.
- Fieldwork that requires segregating, packing, labeling and manifesting waste for shipment and disposal.
- Work with Account Reps to prepare disposal quotes.
- Work with customers to resolve loose and lab pack discrepancies.
- Maintain lab and loose pack databases and hard copy files.
- Other duties as assigned.
