The role involves travel to various field locations to repair, maintain, and troubleshoot the electronic systems associated with chemical pumps and control panels used in our water treatment facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintain electronic systems associated with chemical pumps and control panels.
- Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems, analyzing problems and developing solutions.
- Conduct preventive maintenance checks on electronic equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Work with field teams to assess and recommend updates or upgrades to electronic systems.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve electronic systems based on field feedback and performance data.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including equipment serial numbers, maintenance schedules, and service histories.
- Assist in other maintenance tasks as needed while on location.
- Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in repairing and maintaining electronic systems, preferably in an industrial or oilfield environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic principles, including circuit design, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
- Familiarity with chemical pumps, control panels, and related instrumentation.
- Occasional travel to our training center in Colorado is required for ongoing technical education and certification.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with oilfield water treatment processes and equipment.
- Certification from recognized industry organizations (e.g., NCCER, ISA).
- Willingness to work in challenging environments and adhere to strict safety protocols.
