- Do mid-level technician work as required by assignment
- Take responsibility for testing/inspection of various projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Environmental Science or related field
- 5+ Years minimum experience managing or working on biological/environmental projects
- Experience operating 25 feet + boats preferred
- Hydrographer/hydrography experience is a plus
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Leadership skills and ability to work in a team environment
- A minimum of one year experience in bird identification, particularly with Eastern North American waterfowl and gull species
- Attention to detail is a must
- 40-hour OSHA Certification, 10-hour OSHA Construction certification & First Aid/CPR preferred
- Boat US safety course/Coast Guard / Auxiliary safety class or equivalent safe boating certification preferred
- This position requires a valid driver's license and compliance with HDR vehicle policy
- This position may be subject to pre-employment drug test and drug and alcohol testing during the course of your employment based upon HDR's Drug Testing and Drug Free Workplace Policy
- Local candidates preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Microsoft Office product experience
- General background-related experience
