Selectek has an exciting opportunity for a Field Maintenance Technician. This role needs someone to have a strong background in installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment/systems for conveyors and sorters in a manufacturing setting. This person should have strong electrical and mechanical technical skills as well as excellent customer service and communication skills.

Travel For the first 6-8 months, they will be in the field 75% - 80% of the time since this is how they will learn the product best. Once they gain that knowledge, travel will start to taper down. Their hope is to get everyone down to that ideal 30% as soon as possible, but it will take time to get there and some may sit in the 30-50% range for a while.
Salary Role - Most people in this industry will be used to hourly with time and a half. This is a salary role, but they said they are working out some ways to help with situations if they require excessive time in the field. This is a new role, but there will be a point they may offer straight time for OT over 50 hours. Travel time will not go towards their hours though since they are salary. For expenses, they will have a company card to use to book their own travel hotels and meals.
Need someone well rounded with good mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Need to be from a manufacturing environment with good experience working on conveyors and sorters.
Job order details:
With this position, the Field Maintenance Technician will use a mixture of repair and sales. They will offer phone/video support to installers and techs in the field. If they are not able to resolve the issue remotely, they will go out and help with the repair. While they are there, they will be encouraged to service all their products on site and see if there are other items that are close to being needed to be replaced to upsell their clients.

Pay range: $85,000 - $90,000 annual salary
Term of assignment: Direct hire
Pay method when direct: Salary no overtime (see above about OT as well)
Location of job: Hiram, GA
Hours and shift: Monday Friday; flex time for 8 hour days
Work from home/remote: No
Overtime expected: Possible
Travel: Yes, see above for travel description 50-75%

Job Duties:
- Display passion and willingness to provide best in class support to customers on products and systems installed at our end user customers locations
- Deal with electro-mechanical faults and failures
- Understand the importance of providing preventative maintenance services
- Participate in site-related meetings when requested by the customer or internal Field Service Management
- Provide emergency and maintenance support
- Achieve KPI performance standards for efficiency and quality of repair
- Interact with on-site management, keeping them informed of repair and maintenance progression as well as addressing their concerns in a professional manner
- Able to interpret mechanical drawings and work with electrical circuit diagrams
- Ability to follow set up instructions, assembly drawings, and check lists
- Ensure that reports completed after the service work have been completed and submitted to the Field Service Manager
- Hold regular meetings with the Field Service Manager to discuss activities and progress
- Ensure that all spares usage issues are logged accurately and timely with the customer and the clients parts sales team
- Ensure that supplied tools and equipment are well cared for and are always in a presentable / usable condition
- Ensure that all timesheets and documentation are correct, reflect accurate job hours, and are submitted to the Field Service Manager on weekly basis for approval
- Willingness to travel when needed. Travel may be as much as 80 % at times
- Ability to lift 50-100 pounds
- High School Diploma or GED
- 6+ years of experience installing/troubleshooting conveyor and sorting equipment for manufacturing facilities.
- Mechanical aptitude including ability to read assembly drawings
- Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues effectively.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills with internal and external team members
- Passport or ability to obtain passport
- Valid drivers license
