Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Identify & prospect new critical power/infrastructure customers (integrators, contractors, and end users) in the commercial, government, and industrial vertical markets.
Provide consultative guidance to customers on COMPANY-represented product lines.
Work with the inside support team to prepare proposals, submittals, and order entry documentation in accordance with COMPANY and vendor’s standard operating procedures.
Maintain relationships with integrators, contractors, and end users in the assigned territory through personal visits, conversations, meals/entertainment, and active engagement in project planning, bid, and implementation processes.
Learn the COMPANY product and service offering as well as competitive advantages, and work with COMPANY staff and vendors toward continuous improvement in our offering.
Regularly attend networking events and be knowledgeable of the social landscape to both develop new positive partnerships and avoid potentially negative partnerships.
Arrange and coordinate schedules for “lunch-and-learn” meetings between customers and subject matter experts.
Maintain awareness of project bid cycles, including all associated stakeholders and their preferred partners.
Negotiate price levels and identify acceptable flexibility in material/service offerings to effectively solicit purchase orders from assigned accounts/customers.
Maintain accurate account, contact, opportunity, and pipeline information in COMPANY’s Salesforce CRM tool.
Represent COMPANY with integrity and excellence in all settings.

Qualifications
Previous sales experience; ability to explain proven selling processes during the interview process.
Candidate must reside in Maryland, Washington DC, or Northern Virginia.
Learning Agility: must be able to learn, retain, and employ new ideas, processes, and technical knowledge. Be curious and fearless to ask questions.
Be familiar with critical power distribution technologies (e.g., busway, rack PDUs, RPPs, PDUs, UPS, etc.)
Travel: frequent local travel within MD, DC, NoVA; occasional overnight travel (<15%) outside territory.
