Compensation:?$30-34/hour + up to 10 hours of overtime available weekly. Employees often earn 1.5x their base pay with overtime pay.
Location:?New Orleans, LA. This role will include a combination of travel, office, home, and field work. Employees can expect to travel nationally and regionally up to 60% each month. The hired employees must live in the general New Orleans area. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate as part of a team to repair or overhaul marine equipment and systems, with a focus on UUC propulsion products, ensuring they meet specifications and tolerances.
- Verify dimensions and clearances to ensure conformity with specifications.
- Conduct tests and inspections according to QA/QC standards.
- Read schematics, diagrams, and technical orders to determine assembly methods and sequences.
- Inspect, analyze, and record calibration results, producing Service and Technical Reports.
- Report progress and issues to the nearest supervisor.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable legal and Company procedures, including Health & Safety policies.
- Undertake product training as required.
- Assist the Workshop Lead in all workshop activities.
- Support off-site removal and installation of propulsion equipment.
- Provide support to the Workshop in Galveston and other locations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Electromechanical, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent training in the industry or military.
- Understanding of fundamental Electrical/Electronic control system principles, including PID controllers, filters, and communication protocols.
- Proficient in creating and understanding technical documents.
- Skilled in diagnosing issues in low voltage electrical components, including proficiency with multimeters.
- Preferably experienced with PLC / SCADA systems and their framework.
