Job Title: CNC Field Service Technician
Location: Hartford, CT (90% Travel Required)
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary Range:$70,000-$105,000
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Field Service Technician to join our team. This role requires extensive travel, as you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of CNC machinery at customer sites across various locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to provide outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation and Setup:
- Install and configure CNC machines and equipment at customer sites.
- Conduct thorough testing and calibration to ensure optimal performance.
Maintenance and Repair:
- Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on CNC machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues to restore machine functionality.
Customer Support:
- Provide technical support and training to clients on the operation and maintenance of CNC machines.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, including work performed, parts replaced, and any customer interactions.
- Prepare and submit reports and service logs as required.
Travel and Logistics:
- Travel extensively (approximately 90% of the time) to various customer sites, which may include overnight stays and extended trips.
- Manage travel logistics, including transportation and accommodation arrangements.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or technical certification in a relevant field preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with CNC machinery, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with a variety of CNC brands and models is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of CNC systems, including mechanical, electrical, and software components.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and diagnostic skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment and tools.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying work environments and conditions.
