About the Job
Paradigm is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support our client located in Hillsboro, OR. In this role, you will work on maintenance of E-beam machines and electron-beam lithography tools on the client site.
Type: Full-Time, Direct hire
Location: On-site in Hillsboro/Client Site

As a Field Service Engineer, you will:
- Perform facility checks, routine maintenance, and adjustments of the equipment
- Be responsible for basic troubleshooting of equipment issues
- Collaborate with more senior level Field Services Engineers to understand maintenance better and common support issues
- Participate in on-the-job training opportunities
- Follow the site leaders directives and prioritization to ensure uninterrupted operation of customers' equipment and guarantee customer satisfaction
- Be responsible for providing timely service in an effective and efficient manner
- Provide On-Call Support as needed on a rotational basis including after normal service hours, weekends and holidays
- Provide Shift coverage as required by the site service contract requirements
- Follow and enhance service procedures including Safety, Repair, Maintenance, and Customer specific site procedures
- Follow all customer safety, security and clean room protocols always
Requirements
Our skills and experience wish list includes:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field OR an associate degree with 2-4 years of related experience
- 2-3 years of electro mechanical work experience (i.e., field service engineer or technician position in a semiconductor equipment company or a technical position in the engineering field)
- The ability to travel up to 30% travel after first year
- The ability to work varying hours
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record is required
- Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- The ability to walk long distances, kneel, reach, stand and stoop as well as the ability to lift 30lbs
- Must have the ability to see small defects, parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts with or without the assistance of contact lenses or glasses
- Must feel comfortable working in a clean room environment (wearing full clean room suit, mask, gloves, safety glasses)
