Position Summary: As a Field Service Engineer based in Marcy, NY, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance of our cutting-edge systems and applications. Your expertise in troubleshooting, installing, and testing software systems, along with your knowledge of mechanical and electrical components, will contribute to our mission of delivering top-notch service and support to our clients. This role offers opportunities for growth, continuous learning, and travel across North America, with occasional visits to our headquarters in Germany.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform troubleshooting, preventive, and corrective maintenance on advanced manufacturing equipment.
Install, test, and fine-tune software systems to ensure peak performance.
Conduct detailed function testing of system components and adjust mechanical and electrical components as needed.
Provide phone support for hardware and software issues, ensuring timely resolution.
Implement customer training courses to enhance user knowledge and system efficiency.
Maintain activity documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Travel primarily within North America, with occasional travel to Germany.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing equipment maintenance and installation.
Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems, PLC/PC controls, servo drives, and mechanical systems.
Experience with software installation and testing on complex systems.
Strong documentation and communication skills.
Availability for on-call service outside of business hours.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Valid driver’s license, passport, and work permit.
