As a Field Service Engineer for Axionova, you will work at a variety of sites, so having an appetite for continuously learning about new projects, sites and consumables is key. Applying your interpersonal skills, creativity and can-do attitude is essential. The ability to help with solving customer problems and a dedication to deliver the highest levels of customer service is how you will build customer success.
- Installation & Setup:
- Install, calibrate, and commission engineering equipment and systems on project sites.
- Ensure compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and client requirements.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on-site equipment to minimize downtime.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues promptly.
- Technical Support & Client Interaction:
- Provide on-site training and guidance to clients and site personnel regarding equipment usage.
- Serve as the point of contact for technical inquiries, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain detailed service reports, including work performed, issues encountered, and resolutions.
- Document and escalate recurring issues or potential design improvements to the engineering team.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Adhere to company, client, and regulatory safety standards while working on-site.
- Identify and mitigate risks during installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
- Collaboration:
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other engineers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Assist the design and engineering teams with feedback from on-site conditions for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering (or related field).
- 3+ years of experience in field service engineering, preferably in industrial or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
- Experience using diagnostic tools and software for monitoring system performance.
- Strong technical documentation skills and familiarity with project management tools.
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in dynamic field environments.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work on various project sites.
- Valid drivers license is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) or EIT certification.
- Experience with PLC systems, SCADA, and control systems.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software.
- Previous experience working on infrastructure, energy, or municipal projects.
Additional Details
This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely. The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $30.00 - $52.00/hr plus eligibility for bonus and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
